| 15145 | 2001-07-07 01:33:00 | Outlook Express with WinME as the OS and on line at the time you want to send a message to a newsgroup and it is gone straight away, click send to send mail and it sits there for upto 30 seconds with the connecting icon before it starts to send the message...a real pain when you are in a hurry. It used to send mail straight away, any idea's anyone, maybe something in the settings ? |

If the first attempt does not work, Outlook Express waits for a period of time and then attempts to find the SMTP host name again using a different method. Subsequent messages sent to the SMTP server automatically use the second method, which eliminates the delay. |
