| 15125 | 2001-07-06 10:58:00 | I've built a system around a Gigabyte GA-6BXE MB and a PII-400 cpu. When I turn the machine on it gets to the windows loading and freezes. To load windows I have to start in safe mode, shut down (not restart mind you) and then boot up again. After that its fine. The same thing happened for the guy I got the MB off. Could this be a faulty CPU perhaps? I have flashed the BIOS to the latest version to no avail. |

| 15127 | 2001-07-06 11:32:00 | OS is 98SE. I installed clean. 256 meg Ram. Diamond Banshee 16 meg vid card. Brand new case with 300 watt PS Locks up about 30 secs after the blue Windows 98 screen appears. The lock up does not happen untill the machine has been turned off for a while. EG if I restart it now then it will be fine. |
