| 15344 | 2001-07-10 11:26:00 | I get a program rundll32 trying to access the net, it also shows up when I go cntrl-alt-del, can anyone tell me what it is? TIA. |

| 15345 | 2001-07-11 00:51:00 | It is very likely either of the 2 following things. The worst is that it may be a virus/trojan reporting back to the writer which a good virus scanner right up to date can tell you OR its a piece of 'Spyware' that was installed without your knowledge when you installed some piece of shareware/freeware. If it is 'Spyware' then all you have to do is download a free program called Ad-aware which will find the culprit and give you the option of removing all files and exes related to it. If it is 'Spyware' then when you clean it out with Ad-aware the shareware that installed it will not work anymore probably. | Guest (0) | ||
| 15346 | 2001-07-11 01:32:00 | Thankyou for the reply John, well I very much hope is not a virus/trojan, I have done a virus scan on the drive but its not a totally up to date pattern. Good thing is it pops up in zonealarm basically saying 'do you want to allow rundll to access the internet as an app' so I can prevent it just in case. I do have some spyware type programs installed such as gozilla and audiogalaxy so it may be one of them. |
