| 15403 | 2001-07-12 05:55:00 | my computer is running win me it keeps trying to dail up my isp when i'm off line. the auto connect box is unchecked and i have set it to never dail a connection but it still tries to dial up and the connect to box appears.this only started to happen about a week ago. Also sometimes when a new window opens it is only about half size seems to happen about half the time wheather i'm online or not.this has been happenning for the last month.thanks for any help. |

| 15404 | 2001-07-12 12:25:00 | it sounds like youve downloaded some spyware, it tries to connect to transmit collect info etc to the site that created it. Try Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, it will detect most spyware. it could be a more innocent program eg realplayer etc also. press ctrl-alt-del once and note the running programs. ideally you should only need explorer and systray. |
