15562 2001-07-15 12:30:00 I have recently got a new computer onto which I have loaded Win 98. I have found that after a period of use, if I want to pull down a heading, it will hesitate before doing so and sometimes only bring part of it down before the whole dropdown is shown. This hesitation progressively gets longer and longer. My displayed clock also loses time. I must say that I do tend to leave my computer running permanently.
If I restart or switch the computer off/on, the clock resets to the correct time, and the time delay is shiort, progressively getting longer again.
I also suffer from the inability to shut down from the screen.
Any suggestions why this is happening, and how to correct it?

15563 2001-07-16 07:22:00 How long has the computer being running when it starts doing this?
If it is a long time (many hours) then it is just windows being crap, get used to restarting a lot (or install Linux/freeBSD :-).
Try updating your drivers as they may be speeding up the problem. Also try updating software that you use as this can have the same problem.
