| 15546 | 2001-07-15 09:35:00 | During the course of using my computer in the evenings for 2 to 3 hours, at intermittent times, a one-off noise like hitting the edge of a desk with a pencil comes from it 2 or 3 times. There have been no adverse effects with using the computer. Should I do something about it or just ignore it and hope that it's go away ?. PS I am not very clued up on the technicalties of these machines so any replies would be appreciated in language for a simpleton please. |

You should run ScanDisk - double click 'My Computer' - right click your hard drive (C:) - Select Tools - Select Scan disk I would select options - thorough - automatically fix all In any case back up any important data. |
