15677 2001-07-17 07:09:00 I have recentley installed Windows2000 profesional on the machine on my network which hosted the printer for the network.
The printer is a Lexmark5000 and its drivers seem incompatable across platforms (Win98SE upgrade and Win2000), so it seems to be a good time to upgrade to a printer with more versitile driver support and better economy.
The printer sugested to me is a Cannon S400 the price seems good... though I wondered if there were any reweiws or other critiques around for it. Ff any one has any thoughts I would grateful.

15678 2001-07-17 07:57:00 you could also look at a HP but the canon has individual replacable cartridges that are much cheaper whereas a HP replaces the print jets with each new cartridge. Guest (0)
15679 2001-07-18 07:43:00 The S400 is a superb printer, unless you're planning on printing a lot of photos, in which case I would suggest that you look at the Epson 680 instead.

If you're a heavy duty user, you might also want to consider going up to the S450 (which replaces what was formerly known as the BJC-6200).
