| 15620 | 2001-07-16 11:18:00 | Hi there To be brief, I have a PCI mouse that freezes now and again. It is never consistant and freezes with games, Dreamweaver, Pegasus and IE. When it freezes I still have keyboard access and can save and shut down. When the pointer stops moving the icons 'light up' as if the mouse were still moving. I have a Duron 850, Win98se, PCI mouse, external Zyxel modem on com 1 and the usual CDrom. Any Ideas Many Thanks |

The connector will be a small DIN plug rather than the larger AT style. An EXTERNAL modem on COM1 will not cause a conflict with the mouse. In case it is an intermittent hardware fault try changing the mouse, and see if that cures the problem. If not remove the mouse from Device Manager, and on re-boot let Windows re-detect it to see if that helps. Cheers |
