| 15725 | 2001-07-18 10:34:00 | I am unable to successfully install a dial up adaptor on my W98SE PC. The modem installs no problem, I can install Dial Up networking in the windows setup, but no dial up adaptor appears in the the networking items list. I have tried to manually add the dial up adaptor but the system hangs after I select the MSoft Dial up Adaptor. The adaptor does then appear in the system device list, with a red cross on it, when I try to enable the device it says, after trying fro a while that the device cannot be installed due to error 4B3. I can dial out on the modem and get an initial connection, but then it disconnects and tells me I need to remove and reinstall the adaptor, which I can't do as it is not listed anyway. |
