15719 2001-07-18 08:26:00 I use Xcopy to save folders, within which some files are opened. This works well, as Xcopy saves the file at its last saved or closed state.
Im getting stuck with PKzip, when it reports anyfile currently opened was not zipped.

Am I stuck with this, or is there a switch I can add to PKzip to save the file like Xcopy.

Thanks.....John.

15720 2001-07-18 23:38:00 PKZIP is an archiving program. The fact that it will not archive open files is quite logical.
Your alternative may be to run a batch file which will XCOPY your data to a temporary area, PKZIP from here then delete the temporary area with DELTREE.

15721 2001-07-19 08:36:00 Thanks Russel

I thought that may have been the case, Ive followed the same path Xcopy, then Zip, then deltree.

Many thanks for replying.

Cheers.....John
