15709 2001-07-18 05:44:00 I have desktop and laptop PCs networked together. Booting up, they both require a MS networking password. I want to switch off the need to specify a password but can't find how / where to do this ... any advice?

Thanks

15710 2001-07-18 10:15:00 When you are networking you must log on for the network connections to be enabled. The only way to get rid of the logon screen is to download TweakUI which allows you to specify your user name and password so it can log in for you automatically at startup. Guest (0)
15711 2001-07-19 07:03:00 Hi. Change your workgroup to windows logon. start>settings>controlpanel>network. there is a drop down menu. You will have to do this on all the machines as they will not talk if in different work groups.

Hope this helps
