When I connect to the internet with either IE or Netscape, the connection proceeds normally until the log-on is virtually complete , at which point an error dialog appears containing the following message: EXPLORER caused an exception c06d007eH in module SENS.DLL at 0167:6010b82b. Just like magic. However, some of the icons in the system tray are no longer visible, for instance, the Matrox Quickdesk icon, Windows own resolution changer icon, and the Dial Up Networking icon. The last is a pain as there's no visible clue that you're still connected to the net. And to disconnect, you have to launch task manager and end the rnaapp.exe task manually to disconnect. But if I connect to the net by running the Dial Up first, and *then* launch the browser, (doesn't matter which), then the error message doesn't appear and the systray icons aren't affected. Told you it was weird. So, anyone out there know how to fix it? (I'd rather launch the browsers first as it allows me to disconnect from the net as part of the close-browser operation.) Quick fix there would be to make a shortcut to your dial up connection and just double click it to bring up your connection box and dissconnect with it. Also, try going thru these search results on google.com regarding the sens.dll issue. www.google.com Other than that you could try reinstalling IE 5 (update it to IE 5.5) or Netscape. Ken. |
