| 15853 | 2001-07-20 10:17:00 | I have been trying for months on end to get a driver for my Voodoo 1 graphics accelerator card, most notably the latest DirectX(at least ver 7.00) and the latest Glide and OpenGL drivers. I have tried all the manufacturers websites, the GLsetup site and many more, but still a huge amount of games(project IGI, Quake3, Serious Sam, NFS:porsche,etc). This is due to 3DFX now being bust and the shear age of your video card. I recommend the following;- Go to www.wicked3d.com and download the latest OpenGL drivers. This will increase your fps in GL mode by a factor of 5 at least. or go to www.pcanything.co.nz and pick up the latest Geforce cards and very reasonable prices cheers |
