15849 2001-07-20 09:47:00 Can't get E: Drive (CD) to be recognised on Explorer. Using Windows 95. However; if I shut down computer totally with power off and a music CD in drawer, then I can get E: Drive back when I power up again, but this doesn't work if I use a CD program instead.
set on Auto Play.
Tried using the CD installation disc but to no avail. have Creative Labs Quad Speed CD player

15850 2001-07-20 09:57:00 Have you tried running the add new hardware wizard in the control panel? Guest (0)
15851 2001-07-20 15:52:00 Do you know what caused the problem?
The old cd-roms used different drivers, have you installed:
download.asia.creative.com
Which is the win95 driver.

15852 2001-07-22 21:35:00 Yes I have tried the add hardware wizard in Win 95 and when I 1st installed the CD it recognised my CD drive but never put an E: drive in Explorer. I added the CD myself! Guest (0)
