| 15845 | 2001-07-20 09:22:00 | Hi, I have a HP LaserJet 4P, but all of a sudden it does not print. It displays on its little screen '50 SERVICE', so what is this problem? And when I open up the paper tray, the paper is jammed. It just can't get in to the printing place. All help appreciated... |

Clear the paper first then: Turn the printer off for 20 minutes and allow the fuser to cool (this may resolve high temperature fuser errors). Re-seat the cooled fuser assembly (this may resolve other non-temperature related fuser errors). If the printer is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, plug it directly into a wall socket or different circuit (this may resolve errors caused by an inadequate supply of electricity). Try a different power cord (the current power cord may be damaged). Good luck |
