16075 2001-07-25 04:42:00 Some time ago I had a 10GB Hard Drive installed in an older System Board which would only recognize it as 7.8
Gb. Since then I have upgraded the System Board to a GA-BX2000+, the Bios now says I have a 10GB Hard Drive but in control panel C: properties it is still shown as a 7.82 Hard Drive. Apart from reformating the drive is there any other way to regain the lost 2GB.

16076 2001-07-25 09:04:00 The 8gb limit is similar to the old 528mb limit a few years ago.
You could try getting a partition resizer, eg system commander, but they cost money.
What I would do it use FDisk to create a 2gb partition, to use up the space which would be available as D:
