1276207 2012-05-19 03:20:00 Unable to load XP; tried all safe mode options without success.

Tried to boot with XP install CD but unable to load without administrator password.

Any other way to access the system restore utility?

1276208 2012-05-19 03:47:00 if you can get into safemode with command prompt:

Run System Restore in Command Prompt

1. Boot into Safe mode with Command Prompt – Keep Pressing F8 at start-up then with the arrow keys select Safe mode with Command prompt.
2. At the command prompt, type C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Press Enter. Follow the instructions given to perform the System Restore process.

If you cant, then yes you can run system restore manually from a XP CD, BUT it requires a few DOS commands.

It has to be done right other wise it will screw everything:

Read These instructions (www.box.com) and follow TO THE LETTER.
