2012-05-18 00:52:00 | http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/ http://www.pp.co.nz/ http://www.pbtech.co.nz/ These are the shops I use, I find CL great for gaming builds and paradigm better for budget machines. You may need a better graphics card based on your sig, that's fairly low end and could be the source of your "lag" (wrong term in my opinion but thats another thread). Currently I'd go for a sandybridge or ivybridge CPU, H67 or Z77 motherboard, 4 or 8GB RAM, and a 7750 or 560Ti or better graphics card but to be more specific would depend on your budget etc. Maybe a graphics card upgrade would work with your current hardware for that one game. Also make sure your PSU can run whatever hardware you end up with.

2012-05-18 02:34:00 | Trying upgrade my computer was going to buy from www.dragonpc.co.nz Any one have any suggestions? I can suggest avoiding DragonPC, terrible rep for after sales service, tries to avoid warranty claims, go to a decent reputable shop.

2012-05-18 07:05:00 | Some of the places, all the places that is linked above by #2 have free courier overnight or over 2 nights. I vouch for computerlounge, when my video card clogged up and cooked itself they rang me on the day they received the courier and dispatched me a replacement one. Ascent is a bit more fussy for warranty, they tend to go thru the process and test things out even when I told them that I cannot really wait b/c I've already been on dialup for a week. I bought a ADSL2+ modem off them and it would not connect at ADSL2 speed. This was when I called them on the day I got the modem delivery to my place. I just said could I pay the diff for a new diff modem but they said no ... has to go thru the process, so I just took a 15% or whatever hit and got a refund. They could also build it for you if you want and install windows I think and test prior to courier.

2012-05-21 00:03:00 | Thanks guys, not sure about my graphics card, im getting 7.1 on the experience index. Was thinking dragonPC because it's local, i live in Christchurch are those sites above ^ "trustable"? | PC builder (15482) | |
2012-05-21 00:42:00 | Compared some products to Dragon pc and it was very similar(Most products were cheaper at dragon pc) Never bought anything online before apart from a few games off nzgameshop. I feel more comfortable going to a shop and getting the products by hand :S Any good shops in Christchurch? | PC builder (15482) | |
2012-05-21 00:43:00 | Try googling battlefield 3 reccomended graphics card or system specs or benchmarks and see what you get. I can't do it from work because most of the results are blocked. The experience index is a good Idea which unfortunately isn't implemented very well when it comes to determining game perfomance. It's much better to compare benchmarks online and decide that way. There are obvious advantages to dealing with a local shop if possible, but all the sites I listed have given me good service personally. In the case of PBtech I haven't ordered online because they have a local branch here. The other two though have always been good to me and have dealt with returns without any hassles on the rare occasions I've had problems.

2012-05-21 01:18:00 | Ascent and computerlounge have excellent customer service and usually deliver either overnight or the day after that, very quick and with competitive pricing too | gary67 (56) | |
