1253928 2012-01-14 01:32:00 Perhaps another example of outdated business models being protected by outdated laws??

But earning fifteen hundred quid a month in advertising!! At 19! I suspect that's what raised him into the sights of the big boys (that, and the pirated content being promoted)....

1253930 2012-01-14 05:00:00 I wonder if advertisers were panicking, as I have read of online money making pro's (passively earning > 10, 000 month) using simple blogs legitimately and been warned by Google (if using their ads) to scale back. But then I can't see what sort of legitimate advertisers this student had, if he's linking to piracy related sites. It seems he changed his domain from com to cc (Now seized (web.archive.org) by ICE, and all cc's were recently de-indexed from Google, citing large presence of scammers/spammers hosting), then to bz, so he might have known something was up (probably warned). kahawai chaser (3545)
1253931 2012-01-14 07:36:00 With the new SOPA legislation I suspect the US will be after as many grey area sites as they can, irregardless. If any part of them hits US wire they will be held accountable.

And I thought the great wall of china was bad for the internet.. At least they only block, not sue or make people out to be internet terrorists.
