| 1254123 | 2012-01-30 05:58:00 | i get a phone call.........stating it cost far more than initial verbal quoted, 3 x the initial quote but they will take off a certain amount and i will only have to pay double the amount........ are verbal quotes binding? or because it is not on paper i have no leg to stand on? 1)Quotes are binding, estimates are not 2)Quotes should be in writing because now you have a dispute it will be very hard to prove that he said $400 in the first place. Argue anyway..... |

| 1254125 | 2012-01-30 20:37:00 | It probably doesn't matter, but I would have thought they would put a half hoop on the top of the pipe to keep water out. It is open at the bottom, and the 180 at the top was to keep water out in the days when they fed the cable through the pipe to run it inside the house. Not necessary on this installation, and cheaper as well. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
