1276347 2012-05-30 08:18:00 Well I would take it back to the guy who installed it. Tell him to fix it properly. Or get a refund then go somewhere else Speedy Gonzales (78)
1276348 2012-05-30 08:34:00 I don't think the C G A covers you for a computer repair, over a year ago.

Guy was a bit, shirty, when I asked him, about it.

I gota move on and try and do my best.

1276349 2012-05-30 22:41:00 CGA should cover it. Go back to the guy and mention the CGA. Most back down pretty fast. Nick G (16709)
1276350 2012-05-30 23:54:00 Nah, it's complicated.

Basically we went to the same Church, we left and have been blacklisted. Not very Christian, I know, but it happens..

Just spoke to a computer guy that put a mailer in our letterbox.

What he suggested was butting in a 80 GB ide drive, formatting and reloading Windows on that and use the sata as a backup drive.

Problem is $180, to $250 to do this and we just don't have $250 to even think pass that.

So, thats were we are at.

1276351 2012-05-31 00:10:00 You said it can boot into linux right? Boot into linux and run a HDD check, to see if your HDD is working properly. If it can boot into linux it's probably not a hardware problem? So it sounds like your xp disk is the problem. Can you do a system restore to a point before it started playing up. Nick G (16709)
1276352 2012-05-31 00:26:00 Ran out of time to edit. What about installing Win8 preview and using that? Nick G (16709)
