| 1254558 | 2012-01-16 22:42:00 | I have a Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV which I have had for 4 years with no problems. Before that had a Sony Trintron 29" CRT TV for 10 years with no problems. Also have a Sony Blu-Ray player and HD/DVD recorder both working with no problems. :) |

| 1254559 | 2012-01-16 23:22:00 | I would go for the Panasonic because I have had a good run with them and I feel that Sony don't deserve any of my business because of their corporate behavior. eg root kits coming with their software and their crap DRM on their MP3 players | mikebartnz (21) | ||
| 1254560 | 2012-01-16 23:27:00 | I'd go Sony I think. I have a oldish (was $3.8k!) 40 inch Bravia and a new 32 inch. Both are fine, as are the Home Theatres that go with them, various ancient stereos and dvd players all fine too. Nothing wrong with the Panasonics, I just don't have a reason to switch brands. Sales reps can be a dit dodgy, everything from adjusting contrasts on TVs to make the one they want to shift look better to just plain telling lies. Personally, I always try to go into one of those places already aware of exactly what I want. Slimy buggers. Test 'em on something you know, maybe ask for advice on which of their PCs would suit you. You'll get a feel for how the sales people are, and could well get a chuckle from their remarkable claims :) | Contented (15925) | ||

| 1254567 | 2012-01-17 07:01:00 | I have a Sony Bravia 40". Had for 3 years. No problem at all. Three weeks ago I bought a Panasonic 32" for the bedroom. The Pan. is TH-32U30Z and is 1080 true HD. This I bought for $ 500 at the Appliance Shed, Manakau. Some stores are still selling the 760 for dearer. I think both sets as good as each other. |
