1254430 2012-01-17 14:42:00 We live under much higher atmospheric pressure here in Montana. The boiling point of water here is 266ºF :)

But seriously, BAKING at 250ºF is prolly slower that taking your cake out onto the sidewalk to cook it.

1254431 2012-01-17 19:33:00 Tests carried out on the "Boiling point of water at sea level".

At sea level the damn flame keeps going out with a hiss, so, it won't boil water at any temp.
The electric jug does all sorts of stunts, but is seriously hopeless at boiling water when it is semi-submerged except for the first few drops. Unfortunately those drops are outside the cooking chamber, so not of any practical use for coffee making purposes even if you like the metallic taste.

Notes on the test format:
Any sea in Montana is likely to be far from level, so is disqualified on account of it's bias.
For water to have a point, it needs to be frozen, so "boiling point of water" is an oxymoron.

Disclaimer: Only a few gullible housewives were harmed in making these tests.

I just recently came into full ownership of a 2000 acre seaside ranch with boat launches, surfing and swimming areas. I'll sell it to you.

PS: I have never lived this far from the ocean - ANY ocean - in my whole pre-Montana life.

1254433 2012-01-18 02:08:00 Would you take the Sydney Harbour Bridge in part exchange? One owner, never crashed. Delivery miles only. R2x1 (4628)
1254434 2012-01-18 02:16:00 Do you deliver? It would look nice in my back yard. SurferJoe46 (51)

No problem, send the money, I'll send the bridge. My Nigeria bank account is good (for me).
