| 1254514 | 2012-01-16 21:18:00 | When I were a lad,I can remember that the suburb of Mt Albert had it's own traffic department . . . ah they were the days . Yep . And the council traffic departments were the worst example of bureaucratic ****wits that ever prowled the sewers . Any jumped-up little Hitler that failed the MOT entry test could get a job as a Council Traffic Officer and be the biggest prick he could be to his heart's content . Every courier in Auckland was happy-happy-joy-joy when the MOT took over from Otahuhu, Mt Albert and Auckland City Councils!!! |

| 1254515 | 2012-01-16 21:36:00 | Those "jumped-up little Hitlers" now have to fight among themselves to get selected by the Epsom/Ellerslie people who rapidly banish them to Wellington (or anywhere). | R2x1 (4628) | ||
| 1254516 | 2012-01-16 23:38:00 | While I agree that these local council traffic operations were all about revenue gathering , just like the council parking officers especially Wellington.. At least if you had an accident you could call the local traffic ops and they were there in 5 minutes not like now where the police are not the slitest bit interested unless someone is killed or maimed.. | paulw (1826) | ||
