1253580 2012-01-11 20:14:00 This is off Leonard Cohen's new album for release Jan 31. I've never been much a fan of him, but this track is superb.

See what you think: Darkness (blogs.telegraph.co.uk)

As the reviewer says, "Leonard Cohen is a rare thing - a pop grandfather who just gets better with age". Hope you enjoy it :clap

:)

1253582 2012-01-11 22:43:00 It's ok I think, not something I find particularly memorable. It's not really even singing, more of a spoken dialogue with a mellow backing track.
I won't be adding it to my collection but if you love it then good for you :)

 Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah was another example where he (Cohen) left his "singing" to someone else - with a far better result.

I think his voice and style (like you, I won't call it "singing") is suited to these lyrics, though. Either or, wish that I could sing / write / speak half as good :D
