| 16240 | 2001-07-30 00:05:00 | My youngest would like to be able to play mp3s on our old PC. It is a Pentium 90, 64Meg RAM, 2 drives equalling 1.4 Gig, Yamaha soundcard, 12 speed CDRom and runing the original Win95 and DirectX 7. He can have a few on his drive but I will burn the bulk of them to a cd and he can run them from that. Because of it's age I tried to install the oldest Music Match Jukebox and WinAmp we have. These are off a PCWorld cover disk from last year. I have had no luck at all, receiving the following error from MusicMatch Jukebox: Error registering the OCX C:\WINDOWS|System\wmidx.ocx WinAmp doesn't fare much better. This is a fresh install. Any ideas? Or is there a simpler MP3 player for him? |
