I must admit I put up with it for quite some time as pressing F1 permitted windows to load and then I still found that I could still read and write to my floppy for some time. Finally I opened the case and disconnected and reconnected the cables to the drive and motherboard and power supply. This resulted in Windows Explorer, when I next tried to read a floppy, informing me that the floppy couldn't be read and needed to be formatted. I then went a purchased a good secondhand drive ($15) and installed that and binned the old drive. All back to normal now. Eddie |
