| 16272 | 2001-07-30 06:32:00 | Hi there, I have installed a scanner, Acer S2W 3300U onto our system running win 95 version b. I have installed the two USB support patches suppied by the vendor. The system sees the hardware but when I go to run the Mirascan software it says scanner is either not powered or USB cable is not connected ( it is powered and the USB is connected ). I was told that the scanner should run on W95 version b ok. Any help greatly appreciated R. |

| 16273 | 2001-07-31 04:41:00 | hi Roger, Win95b is famously hard to get USB going with. In device manager are the USB ports set up ok? Are you sure that the implementation of USB on the computer is compatible with the scanner? (I had an older system where the USB only worked properly after a BIOS update.) Are the vendor patches for windows 95, or the computer specifically? |
