| 16450 | 2001-08-04 09:50:00 | When I try to open Word 2000 in Win 98 the MS Office Word 2000 box ( not the screen ) appears and everything stops. I can move the mouse icon but cannot open anything else leaving me to CTRL ALT DEL my way out. If I don't try to open Word first I can open any or all of my other applications. | 16451 | 2001-08-04 10:38:00 | Hi Rick I'm not quite sure what you mean about the Word 2000 box? Is it an error message of some sort? Sounds like the best option would be to reinstall Word. Most likely something has become corrupted or is missing. Rod. |

| 16452 | 2001-08-10 07:55:00 | I have almost the same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Word 2000 its still the same. I have p111 600 128 133 hz ram 18 gb hd, partioned, one with 3.4 gb other nothing. I have run defrag scan disk clean up disk and pc pitstop.Latest update of NAV run. Word just hangs there, control alt delete and it comes up with a white sreeen of death with the system is dangerously low on resourses would you like to terminate yes no cancel. Sometimes it comes up with a message some thing like not enough memory to open Word. It has worked fine for a year works goes fine for spreadsheets etc. There isnt much on my computer no games 128 meg should open word. Thanks for any help you can give me. Cheers Ted Heath |
