| 16397 | 2001-08-03 06:24:00 | I have installed a CD Drive ( 20x, make unknown )that until recently worked perfectly well, DVD's, music CD's and programme CD's. However, now when I put a DVD or programme disc in a message comes up ' e:\ not accessible drive not ready ' music discs work fine. have tried reinstalling the driver (3.5 floppy but problem persists. Help! |

| 16399 | 2001-08-04 00:09:00 | If it is not a DMA issue, try a cd lens cleaning disk and if that doesn't fix the problem then it is time to realign the laser. Whats that everyone says. In the past I have adjusted many CD-Rom laser with a great deal of success and it looks promising that this one will be successful because you are able to read music cds. email me for delivery instructions if you wish to pursue the laser adjustment. bkemp@ww.co.nz |
