16630 2001-08-07 07:07:00 I have a laptop drive with a regular fat32 partition and an NT partition.

Fdisk doesn't 'see' the NT partition so ...??

16631 2001-08-07 09:29:00 What do you mean by not seeing it?
It should list it as unknowen.
It may be in an extended partition, which you can delete instead.

16632 2001-08-07 09:59:00 I,m not an NT expert,but I believe NT has a conversion
utiliy to convert a NTFS partion to fat 16 and visa-versa.An NTFS partition is just a modifyed fat16 patition anyway, the other way to do it is to do a low level format on the NTFS partion and then change it to fat16 or 32.

good luck

16633 2001-08-07 23:16:00 hi Chris,

check again. You can delete an NTFS partition with FDISK.
Delete Partition -> Delete Non-Dos partition.

16634 2001-08-10 05:08:00 I have just checked with FDISK, and it doesn't show all paratitions, eg my ReiserFS partition.

Here are some links I found, I have ued fips before but the others look like their worth checking:
