| 16599 | 2001-08-06 22:30:00 | I have done a clean install of Win98 SE and loaded Office 97, but when shutting down it hangs at Win98 screen. Hope someone can help as I'm stumped. Lloyd |

| 16600 | 2001-08-06 22:59:00 | This is a well known bug in Windows98 SE. Microsoft have a patch available on their web site. Fire up your browser and search for Win98 shutdown patch. Download the pacth and execute it. I hope this helps. |

| 16603 | 2001-08-07 08:44:00 | Once anyone has installed Windows(any edition) the next thing they should do after system drivers etc. is Windows Update which is at the top of Start menu(win98 on). Or www.windowsupdate.microsoft.com then hit the 'Product Updates' link, this will communicate with msn without giving personal info.(read the screen). Critical updates are just that critical and to be downloaded first. Hope this helps Cheers Scotty |
