| 16744 | 2001-08-09 09:42:00 | I am running Win 95 I Have a substitute background graphic which appears at start up and close down which I can not get rid of. How does one edit this file? | Guest (0) | ||
| 16745 | 2001-08-09 10:23:00 | The files to edit (in paint or whatever) are: Wait for shutdown: C:\WINDOWS\LOGOW.SYS Turn off comp: C:\WINDOWS\LOGOS.SYS Startup: C:\LOGO.SYS I gave more detail in a previos post: www.idg.net.nz As for restoring the origional logos, try looking for backups that may have been made. Failing that, just delete logo.sys and windows will revert to the default (which hides in IO.SYS) To restore the shutdown logos, they are on the win98 cd. |
