16728 2001-08-09 03:43:00 MS Troubleshooter says that the mouse software is working fine. In Control Panel > Mouse > Hardware, 'IntelliMouse Explorer' not listed in available drop down. If of help, the driver installed is 5.02183.1 for PS/2 Compatible Mouse. I tried to download latest driver from MS website 2 days ago; perhaps I've downloaded the wrong one?
When booting up, the red light lights up for a second, indicating power then shuts off. Rebooting doesn't help. Used same port a few days ago to burn a CD on HP CD-Writer Plus 8200 series ... problem has occured in the past when I've used the CD writer. I always use Unplug or Eject Hardware facility to remove. Looking forward to some assistance!
