| 16695 | 2001-08-08 05:05:00 | Is there any way I can change the Windows startup logo and more importantly the shutdown message in Win 9.x to something more personal and appropriate to the individual using the computer? John Waihi |

To play open the following in paint: -- Shutdown Wait message --- C:\Windows\LOGOW.SYS -- Turn off your comp --- C:\Windows\LOGOS.SYS --- Boot logo --- C:\LOGO.SYS If you are still using the default boot logo, then LOGO.SYS won't exist. Just copy one of the other messages over and rename it to LOGO.SYS. NOTE: The images have to be that size, and they do get streched horizontally when displayed. Also you can't use the whole 256 colours, the max is arund 223, as some are used for the animations. And don't forget to backup the origionals. |
