| 16670 | 2001-08-08 00:58:00 | Hi. I would like to know what some of the Bios settings mean, and what they do. sdram cycle length: 3, 2 or auto?? Dram Clock: host clock or hclock+33m Bank 0/1 and 2/3 dram timing: sdram 8/10ns, normal, medium, fast, turbo. which settings will benifit me most, will any void my warranty, which are fastest? I have an athlon 900mhz, with a 128meg 133mhz ram chip, and another 256meg 133mhz ram chip. thanks for your help |

By playing with these settings you will be overclocking your ram (unless you paid extra for the faster stuff), if it is reasonable quality you can probaly run it with the faster settings, but the performance gained is not woth it, esp if it causes instabilitys. | Guest (0) | ||
