| 16875 | 2001-08-12 02:37:00 | hi there ! I have Windows Media Player and Real Player , but none of them play certain files I have been sent ?? The files are 'RAM' and 'PPS' files ?? does anyone know of players that play these types of files ?? any help would be appreciated !! cheers !! |

| 16876 | 2001-08-12 03:11:00 | A Ram file is a text file with the extension .ram (.rpm for playback in a Web page). When a browser receives this file, it launches RealPlayer as a helper application - ie the .ram file is a pointer file only. RealPlayer then requests the clips listed in the Ram file. The .pps file is probably a PowerPoint slide show, so you need PowerPoint or at least a PowerPoint viewer. You can download a viewer free from Microsoft at: www.microsoft.com |
