| 16842 | 2001-08-11 10:40:00 | On my IE 5.5 under the drop down list on Tools I have managed to acquire a new unwanted listed item 'Avx Online Scan'. I have removed all the associated files from the hard drive but I cannot get rid of this item from the drop down list. Can anyone help me please. | Guest (0) | ||
| 16843 | 2001-08-11 12:57:00 | But did you run the uninstaller in add remove programs? If not then its only half uninstalled anyway, your best option is to reinstall it, so you can run the uninstaller. |

| 16844 | 2001-08-12 03:35:00 | If you don't mind using regedit, (start\run\regedit) you can navigate to: 'HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions' Each subkey of this key defines an addition to IE's menu. Select each subkey and look at its MenuText value. When you find the one you want, delete the entire subkey. If you do not see the tool menu item, try looking in: 'HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions' instead. |
