| 16814 | 2001-08-11 00:10:00 | After starting the computer a panel appears, accompanied by a signal[clunc], on which there is a red cross and which says at the top:'Long Filename Backup'. And, next to the red cross: 'Bad Command Line Format'. At the bottom a small box with 'OK' in it. Clicking on it makes the panel disappear.How can I get rid of this panel for ever? | Guest (0) | ||
| 16815 | 2001-08-13 02:41:00 | If you are running Windows 98 you can run a very useful tool called msconfig (start, run, 'msconfig') to see what is going on at startup and disable startup items. Otherwise you can try sysedit and go from there. Also if you are comfortable running regedit you could look in HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run for any more startup items (these are covered in msconfig but not in sysedit). | Guest (0) | ||
