| 16792 | 2001-08-10 10:09:00 | My quick launch has dissappeared, and is not in my puter anymore. I run Windows 95 and IE5.5, which am I supposed to reinstall to get it back? I did try reinstalling IE5.5 but it told me all components are current. I have down a search, and it is definately not in my system anymore. TIA | Guest (0) | ||
| 16793 | 2001-08-10 10:22:00 | Hi, Are you meaning the 'E' from the Quick Launch on the Taskbar? If so, just make a shortcut to it and move it to the quick launch. C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE is where IE resides on Win98, not sure if its the same as 95, if not Find File/Folder-IEXPLORE.EXE. Ken. |

| 16794 | 2001-08-10 11:24:00 | Have you tried right clicking on the tarkbar, going to toolbars, quick launch. Another possibility is if you have tweak ui installed there is an option to return the taskbar etc to the pre IE version. |

| 16796 | 2001-08-16 07:50:00 | Hi supergran,The desktop Channel bar is available only if you have upgraded from Internet Explorer 4.0 or Windows 98. You will need to first uninstall ie 5.5 ,Then you need to insert win95c disc & go into the folder called win95,Then go to the icon called ie4setup & double click to install ie4,I found standard install is fine. When windows reboots the quick launch toolbar will be installed.Then you upgrade to ie5.5 & quick launch is still there. PS:not sure if this works with versions of 95 earlier than 95c. cheers steve |
