| 16862 | 2001-08-12 00:06:00 | I am trying to unpack netscape 4.73 (sourced from a pcworld disk). The file is on the c: drive and when i double click it, installshield starts, decompresses about 6% and then gives 'The decompression of %s failed. There may not be enough free disk space available in the TEMP directory.' This has happens each time. Have (48 hours ago)formatted the c: drive and reinstalled win95 then upgraded to win98; defraged the c: drive and then tried to install the netscape browser. Have deleted all files in the window\temp dir; in the temp internet drecotry ad the c\temp but not help Any solutions out there ? Thanks Gary |

| 16863 | 2001-08-12 08:28:00 | This is more of a general fix. Upgrading win98 over a previous OS can cause all sorts of problems, from the win98 upgrades i've seen only require you to prove you have 95 by inserting the CD (or all 13 BLOODY disks) to prove that you had win95. | Guest (0) | ||
