| 17064 | 2001-08-15 23:16:00 | I have a 5 month old computer and about 75% of the time whe I shut down, I get a blue screen stating 'Windows Protection Error. System Halted. Please restart your computer'. So, then I have to hit the reset button and then as its rebooting, hit the power switch to turn it off, which can't be good for the computer. Does anyone else have this problem and/or do you know how to fix it?? Thanks, Martin. |

What you can do is hit pause while the computer is still in the bois, and turn it off then. Failing that, hold down Alt when it starts windows, and power down at the boot menu. |
