| 17032 | 2001-08-15 08:44:00 | I have been running an external SCSI hard disk with 50 pin interface for quite some time now, and needing more space I decided to replace it with a larger drive, only the new one has an ultra-wide 2 interface, 68 pin. I bought the appropriate adaptor and hooked everything up as normal, but now when I go into Windows Explorer there are two drives there, not one. If I click on the first listed drive (E:) it brings up an error message saying it can't access the drive, but if I select properties it shows the correct size of 4.5Gb. Clicking on the second drive listed (F:) allows me to access the drive, but it seems erratic sometimes, with blue screens popping up and telling me that there was an error writing to that drive. Any ideas as to what is going on? |
