| 17176 | 2001-08-18 09:23:00 | Recently, I added a 20GB hard disk plus more memory to my PC. (This may not be the cause of the following problem). Now when I connect my Sony Cyber Shot camera, Windows detects new hardware and tries to install the appropriate drivers. This always causes a crash: Error: cmdninst has caused an error in USER.EXE. cmdninst will now close. To try and solve this, in Safe mode, I have first disabled and then removed the appropriate hardware/drivers for the camera. None of this solved the problem - got the same message. I have searched various parts of the internet without much success. Your help will be appreciated! |
