| 17149 | 2001-08-17 22:02:00 | Just formatted drive and cant access cd drive to install Win95. Have bootdisk on hand but it doesnt have facilities for accessing the Cd drive. Uninstal doesnt work because of missing files. What's the options? Not sure what the cd rom driver is, so it is hard to make a cd boot disk. Are there any other options or can you download boot disks from the Internet. Could you use a Win98 boot disk for installing win95 |

| 17151 | 2001-08-18 08:40:00 | get your standard 95 boot floopy, put on it CONFIG.SYS & AUTOEXEC.BAT FILES, And related CDROM files, and cdrom lines in the two above files. like in CONFIG.SYS put this DEVICE=A:\CDROM\SGIDECD.SYS /D:MSCD000 DEVICE=A:\CDROM\WCD.SYS /D:WP_CDROM in AUTOEXEC.BAT put this, PATH a:\sys;a:\cdrom a:\CDROM\MSCDEX.EXE /D:WP_CDROM /M:20 if you use the above you will have to have a directory called CDROM and in the files MSCDEX.EXE, SGIDECD.SYS, WCD.SYS |
