| 17285 | 2001-08-20 10:52:00 | If your computer is still under warranty then opening the box your self will void your warranty. As for the upgrades them selves, it depends. Ingeneral big OEM computers are quite limited with upgrade options as they tend to use custom parts. For the cpu, check if it supports the speeds you want. Otherwise you will have to get a new motherboard, which may be a problem if you have a funny case. For the HDD, if you have the room you can add it as a second, otherwise you will have to replace your current. Also check the powersupply as it may not be strong enough to handle installing many extras. |
