| 17192 | 2001-08-18 11:11:00 | i use windows 98 se and 98lite with the windows 95 browser integrated into it. the problem is that if i have a look into the d: drive which windows is not installed in i see a file called win386.swp that takes up 76 megs of valuble space . what should i do with it? | Guest (0) | ||
| 17193 | 2001-08-18 13:19:00 | win386.swp is the windows swap file. Have a look at System Control panel, Performance Tab, Virtual memory button. There seems to be a bug, where if you use a custom swapfile, then switch to windows managed, it will still use the origional path for its swapfile, instead of C:\Windows. If that is your case, I havn't tried it as I only have one windows partition, but the line: PagingDrive=C: in System.ini might need fixing, its in the [386Enh] section. |
