17173 2001-08-18 05:11:00 Is there a way where I can set my computer to log one with out me pressing enter every time at the start?? The reason I want to do this, is because I want to set my comp to switch itself on and connect to the net at a certain time when I m not here, and obviously it wouldn't connect if I don't log on to my computer....

I m aware that I can set my log on to windows log on, instead of clients for Microsoft network, but if I do that, I can't use network neighbour hood to share my files between my 2 comps ....

I am using Windows 98 Se, and any help would be greatly appreciated..

P.S. I have no passwords, and I m the only person who use the comp, so that log on thing is practically useless for me ...

Install it. Goto the logon tab, and enter the details.

17175 2001-08-18 06:55:00 Hi Jeff

I have two PC's networked at home, and originally used Tweak UI to process the log on prompt, but I was sick of waiting that little bit longer for the pc to start up every time when I was sitting in front of it.

I read somewhere I could still use 'windows logon' so I tried it. Itno longer brings up log on password prompt, and the two PC's work as before, in fact they seem to recognise each other quicker. I didn't have to change anything else.

Right click Network Neighbourhood on your desktop and change the Primary Network Log On to Windows Log On.

I am using one Win 98 and one Win 98SE.

Here is a good site for anyone with Networking questions - helped me a lot.
