17422	2001-08-22 12:02:00	My fax program is Bitware and until recently it has been quite OK. I had to uninstall it recently and now that it's reinstalled there is a problem connecting when I send. My text goes to Bitware all right and when I press 'send' the progress box goes through the connection routine, that is it dials then rings then waits for the other end to pick up, but it never does. Just keeps doing a slow beep beep but does not pick up. I,ve tried the fax check numbers at both clear and telecom with no success. I did the atdt test from the Bitware comms terminal and the result was 'ok'. I tried dialling the fax check numbers from the comms terminal to see what would happen and it did better than than my attempts to fax.. It dialled then said 'connect' then a string of garbage and then said'no carrier' and quit, because the call wasn't a fax through the fax program I guess. But it seemed to connect ok for a second. As far as I can tell, the settings in setup are ok but then I don't understand a lot of them. Any help with this would be much appreciated...Ken	Guest (0)
