| 17395 | 2001-08-22 05:43:00 | I have 2 computers one running Win98 SE, and one running Win 2000. Let me first point out that i have read the article on the main page and it doens't help me. From Win 2000 I can access the Network drives on the win 98 pc, but when I try to do it the other way I am prompted for a password. I have no idea what it might be and how to change it. I've tried my administrator password and every other password I ever use, Any ideas Thanks Ashley P.S Matt - your advice did not work - there is no password option in Windows 2000, thanks anyway |

I suggest you set the logon type on the wintendo box to be client for MS networks, and make sure there is an account with the same username/password on the W2K box, with the necessary group membership to access the share. |
